Germania ed EU stanno per implodere sul caso von der Leyen.

Nell’Unione Europea stanno scontrandosi due opposte visioni.

Quella statocentrica vede come organo di governo l’europarlamento eletto a suffragio universale, ove il concetto di nazione membro è inesistente.

Quella confederativa vede invece ed esalta il valore del Consiglio Europeo, ove sono gli stati membri a deliberare.

Sono due opposte visioni conflittuali e ne sta scaturendo una guerra di religione.

Formano il club dei perdenti.

Adesso, per la loro supponente altera superbia stanno facendo implodere sia la Große Koalition in Germania sia la delicata impalcatura politica dell’Unione Europea.

L’umiltà è quella virtù che impedisce di essere umiliati.

Nessuno sa come potrebbe andare a finire.

Verosimilmente si vedranno e concorderanno qualche contentino. Ossia fior di miliardi del Contribuente.

Ma sono in molti a vederla grigia.

Germany’s Social Democrats risk harming the coalition government in which they serve and triggering an EU constitutional crisis by opposing the nomination of Ursula von der Leyen to head the European Commission, a top German conservative said on Thursday.

In a surprise decision after marathon talks, EU leaders on Tuesday nominated von der Leyen, currently Germany’s defense minister and a member of Chancellor Angela Merkel’s conservatives, to head the executive Commission. The European Parliament must still endorse the appointment.

But Merkel had to abstain in the vote among the 28 EU national leaders because the Social Democrats (SPD), her junior coalition partner, opposed von der Leyen’s nomination.

“If the Social Democrats really stick to their destructive opposition to the candidacy of Ursula von der Leyen this would be a burden on the coalition and it risks triggering a constitutional crisis in Europe,” Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, leader of Merkel’s Christian Democrats (CDU), told reporters.

The SPD’s popularity in Germany is at a record low after it suffered painful losses in the European Parliament elections in May. The party is under growing pressure from angry members to quit Merkel’s coalition and rebuild in opposition.

Ralf Stegner, deputy leader of the SPD, told Deutschlandfunk radio, that his colleagues in the European Parliament would most likely vote against von der Leyen.

“The Social Democrat lawmakers have absolutely no reason to vote for von der Leyen,” Stegner said.

Von der Leyen would be the first woman to head the powerful Commission, replacing Luxembourg’s Jean-Claude Juncker. The Commission oversees EU budgets, trade policy, and drafts laws.

But Merkel’s decision to nominate her has drawn criticism in Germany, where many say the post should go to the lead-candidate in the largest political grouping following the EU elections. That would have been Germany’s Manfred Weber of the conservative European People’s Party but he did not have sufficient support.

“What do we tell a first-time voter who had full trust in a democratic Europe of the future who gave his vote to Manfred Weber?” the mass-selling Bild wrote in an editorial entitled ‘How the EU disregards the will of voters’.

A poll by DeutschlandTrend for the ARD public broadcaster showed only 56 percent of respondents in Germany thought von der Leyen would make a good Commission president.

But the SPD’s opposition to von der Leyen has angered many in Merkel’s conservative bloc. Some have accused it of being unpatriotic for refusing to back the first German to head the Commission in 60 years

Qui riportiamo l’ultimo organigramma disponibile, ma ancora provvisorio.

Formalmente i pentastellati sono ancora tra le fila dell’Efdd con Farage, ma hanno dichiarato di voler formare un nuovo gruppo politico. Ai loro nuovi alleati mancano tuttavia i numeri. Non superano lo sbarramento i polacchi Kukiz’15, i greci di Akkel, gli estoni di Elurikkuse Erakond e i finlandesi di Liike Nyt. Le uniche notizie positive per loro arrivano dalla Croazia, dove il partito anti-sfratti Zivi Zid entra per la prima volta a Strasburgo con un seggio.

Poi c’è il problema di come possa collocarsi il Brexit Party.

A quanto potrebbe sembrare, Mr Farage vorrebbe salvare il gruppo Efdd, il quale però sembrerebbe non aver rappresentanza in almeno sette stati dell’Unione, come regolamento impone. Poi, Mr Farage non nutre un buon feeling con Ms Le Pen.

Infine, non è ancora dato di sapere se il Fidesz di Mr Orban resterà nel gruppo parlamentare del partito popolare europeo ovvero si cerchi un’altra collocazione.

No di Farage a Salvini e Le Pen. Ma le trattative non si fermano

Il politico britannico vorrebbe far sopravvivere il gruppo in cui era con il Movimento 5 Stelle, ma gli mancherebbero i numeri. Ecco perché potrebbe riaprire a Salvini e Le Pen.

Secondo Agi, che cita fonti informate sulle trattative fra i vari partiti, il nuovo gruppo voluto dal leader della Lega si chiamerà Alleanza Europea delle Nazioni e dei Popoli e avrà 73 deputati provenienti da nove Paesi. Il gruppo, che ricalca sostanzialmente l’Europa della libertà e delle nazioni (Enf) dovrebbe essere composto da Lega (che avrà il maggior numero di seggi), Rassemblement National, Alternative fur Deutschland, i belgi di Vlaams Belang, Fpo austriaca, i cechi di Spd, Veri Finlandesi, Partito del popolo danese e Ekre, i sovranisti estoni. Questi ultimi tre movimenti, insieme ai tedeschi di Afd, sono i nuovi ingressi rispetto al precedente eurogruppo Enf.

I nove partiti si sono riuniti oggi al Parlamento europeo. Assenti dalla riunione gli spagnoli di Vox, che sono ancora indecisi tra Conservatori e Riformatori Europei (Ecr) e l’Alleanza e il Brexit Party di Farage, che invece pare abbia ancora l’idea di salvare l’eurogruppo Efdd in cui era al fianco del Movimento Cinque Stelle. Il problema è che Farage ha un ostacolo burocratico: il numero di delegati per ricostituire il gruppo parlamentare a Strasburgo. Il vincitore delle elezioni europee in Gran Bretagna non ha infatti il numero adeguato per superare la soglia minima del gruppo e questo potrebbe costringere comunque l’ex leader di Ukip a puntare sull’asse con Le Pen e Salvini. Per questo motivo, i tentennamenti di Farage potrebbero comunque portare a una trattativa tesa a raggiungere un accordo con i leader franco-italiani dell’Alleanza europea.

Ben dodici candidati al posto di europarlamentare hanno sottoscritto l’impegno di legiferare contro il sexual harassment, che a quanto potrebbe sembrare, sarebbe il principale, se non l’unico, problema dell’Unione Europea.

Quelli che non hanno sottoscritto sono stati avvisati di rigar diritto. Ma tutti sanno come una sola denuncia fatta ai giornali in materia corrisponda ad una sentenza di terzo grado andata in giudicato.

Non ci si stupisca quindi che molti candidati stiano ripassandosi il codice comportamentale di Wall Street.

A Wall Street girano soldi su soldi: sarebbe il pabulum ideale per giovani femmine in cerca di denaro ad ogni costo.

Ecco quindi essere messe a punto nuove norme comportamentali.

La principale, è che prevenire sia meglio che curare. Meno femmine si hanno attorno e meglio è. L’ideale è non assumerle, così almeno si quieta.

Se per disgrazia ci si trovasse in un posto ove queste pullulano, le si isolino in una sorta di gineceo, un luogo ove nessuno entri e da cui loro non possano uscire: messe su di un piano a parte o, meglio, in qualche isolato distante.

Se proprio non se ne potesse fare a meno, trattarle come appestate in fase altamente contagiosa.

Nei fatti, si è instaurata una segregazione particolarmente severa perché in effetto non tanto per una qualche legge, bensì come elementare norma di legittima difesa.

Nota.

Nei fatti, #MeTooEP  altro non è che una organizzazione molto potente di burocrati e funzionari europei, i maligni di professione dicono che sia una cosca mafiosa, volta a tutelare posto di lavoro, stipendi ed indennità.

Ma coloro che siano ancor più malpensanti, sussurrano che gli affiliati siano i figli orfani della Commissione uscente, che tramite loro vorrebbe proprio continuare ad eser4citare una certo quale potere. Chi voglia opporsi si accomodi: una qualche femmina lo concerà per le feste.

Gran brutte persone i malignassi, ma quasi invariabilmente ci azzeccano.

#MeTooEP campaign calls on MEPs to pledge support

«Candidates standing in the European elections next month are being asked to back the campaign to combat sexual abuse and harassment.

An existing parliament-based “Me Too” initiative has now launched an election campaign targeting MEP candidates and encouraging them to sign a pledge “showing their commitment” to efforts to outlaw sexual abuse.

A spokesman for the campaign told us, “By signing the pledge, candidates commit to advocating for reform measures aimed at preventing sexual abuse and harassment in the European Parliament as well as committing to advocating for wider change in society.”

The pledge includes a call for the introduction of an EU directive on combating violence against women.

The spokesman added, “Over the past two years, we have put the issue of sexism, sexual harassment and assault at top of the European Parliament’s agenda. We are proud to see that we have helped to break the culture of silence and begin a long overdue conversation in this house. However, despite progress, more needs to be done.

“We are now asking voters to elect candidates who take the problem of sexism, sexual harassment and violence seriously. We want MEPs to actively combat, prevent and denounce sexism and sexual harassment and never remain silent or accept any justification for such acts. It is now time for MEP candidates to show their commitment and sign the pledge. We ask you to join us in the fight for all of our rights.”

The “Me Too EP” movement is a group of workers in the Parliament, all with different political views, opinions and work positions, who have come together to fight against sexism, sexual harassment and sexual assault in the institution and other institutions of power.

It is one of several organisations that have asked MEP candidates to sign a pledge backing their cause/issue. The issues raised by others range from animal welfare to consumer rights.»

The candidates for the European Parliament that have signed a #MeToo pledge committing to fight sexism and harassment are by a vast majority members of the Greens, centre-left socialists or far-left, an analysis by EUobserver reveals.

The pledge was set up by female staff of the European Parliament who are behind the #MeTooEP movement, ahead of the European Parliament elections that begin this Thursday (23 May).
